I've used this sander to adjust the size of a cabinet drawer and to create curved corners on a piece of plywood. It's easy to use and fast. Thanks to the vacuum bag, it creates very little mess.
I think I'll find something of better quality to buy to finish this dresser. I took it apart to see what was wrong and pieces of plastic are breaking off inside and getting caught in the gears.
It worked GREAT, was really fast, and I was very pleased. I used this sander to sand the scratched finish off of a school desk for my son.
The sander quit after just doing the tops and sides of the dresser, the drawers aren't done yet. Well, here I am, just a few months later, with a new project.
I am refinishing a dresser for my baby due in just a few weeks. It wasn't worth $25 if it only lasts through 1 project.
I'm very disappointed.
It also sucked up all the wood dust leaving no mess. This sander is incredibly fast. This is not cordless, you must plug it in while working. I was able to refinish the top of a coffee table that my kids had drawn on with markers in about 10 minutes. I had previously tried hand sanding and was very frustrated trying to get through the layers of marker stains but this did the job in minutes. It comes with 3 sheets of various grit sandpapers, and includes a sandpaper punch so you can punch holes in standard quarter sheets so the dust can be sucked up as you work. I am thrilled with the ease of use and effectiveness of this tool.
